Mocktailing@Home

We're sharing two mocktails for the under 18 set (21 in the US) or those of us who may have had one too many Quarantinis and are looking for a little detox. Both are easy to make and refreshing.


Berry Sunrise

The beautiful layers in this make it quite inviting.


Ingredients

  • Five Raspberries

  • 2 ouces Fresh Lime Juice

  • 1 ounce Simple Syrup

  • Ginger Beer


Preparation

Muddle the raspberries in a cocktail shaker, add lime juice and simple syrup. Shake well. Strain into a tall glass filled with ice and top with ginger beer. Garnish with a citrus peel twist.



Spicy RiRi

Perfect for older teens and those who like things a little hot!


Ingredients

  • 3 ounces Fresh Lime Juice

  • 1 ounce Orange Syrup (warm simple syrup & steep peel from a whole orange for about 30 minutes, cool)

  • Club Soda/Soda Water

  • Red Pepper Flakes + Salt


Preparation

Mix red pepper flakes and salt in a small saucer. Dampen rim of glass and gently dip rim in spicy salt. Set glass aside.


Shake lime juice and simple syrup with plenty of ice in a cocktail shaker. Strain into a chili and salt rimmed cocktail glass. Top with soda water. Garnish with a chili.
